NINTENDO WII REVIEW

For those of you who've been living under a rock, the Nintendo Wii is an extremely popular video game system. In fact, the Nintendo Wii is a blast, probably the best in the game console market. Heady stuff, but you have to admit the Nintendo Wii is a great product. The Wii is innovative in its approach to gaming.

The Nintendo Wii is not a Game Cube, it is the successor to the Nintendo GameCube. Nintendo Wii is backward compatible so loading in GameCube discs does not pose any problem.

 WII FEATURES

The Nintendo Wii is a small device, about the size of 3DVD cases stood beside each other, and has a built in DVD player. It features an SD memory slot, hidden on its front quarter. Nintendo Wii features one-hand motion-tracking controller, the ability to download classic Nintendo games and the Opera browser for Web surfing. The Wii features two Game Cube Memory Card slots and 4 ports for Game Cube controllers.

If your goal is to use the internet on your tv or watch youtube videos then the Nintendo Wii is a smart buy. The Nintendo Wii is designed and built as a video game console, but it is an internet appliance as much as it is a console, which means it needs an internet connection to fully realize it's potential.

One of the wackiest things about the Nintendo Wii is the controller. The new Nintendo Wii features a very unique nun chuck style controller,  a revolutionary completely redesigned freehand controller which resembles a TV remote, which also adds both motion and tilt sensors to its design. The Nintendo Wii is so easy to use, even those who have never picked up a video game controller in their life can join right in. But because of a massive recall due to a faulty controller, they were forced to enhance the design of their patented controller.

THE WII - JUST FOR KIDS?

I'd think the majority of Wiis are bought for children as gifts, but the Nintendo Wii is not just for kids, and is highly recommended for all age groups. The experience of playing a game on the Nintendo Wii is unlike anything else currently in existence. The Nintendo Wii is perfectly suited for combining gaming and physical activity; using a Nintendo Wii is a legitimate form of exercise and could help you lose weight. It seems that many gamers may have gotten a bit more than they bargained for regarding how vigorous playing the Nintendo Wii is. The Edmonton Journal reports the Nintendo Wii is even being used to help stroke victims!

 ACCESSORIES

The Nintendo Wii is finally starting to catch up to itself, at least in terms of accessories and hardware availability. Wii accessories are available from the masters over at Nyko.  Colored Wiis are nice and pretty to look at, and should also get some of the limelight.

 SALES - PROBLEMS

The Nintendo Wii is the most affordable of all GenX gaming systems. Nintendo claims that its Nintendo Wii is more in demand now than it was when it launched. Though the Nintendo Wii is fabulous, supply is still not where it needs to be. Now, more than half a year later, the Nintendo Wii is still in short supply and high demand. The Nintendo Wii is certainly the best selling console of this generation.

The Nintendo Wii is about to overtake the Xbox 360 in terms of global sales and the Nintendo Wii is more durable than the Xbox 360- (which often freezes) as most of Nintendo's consoles have been. Though there have been reports of Wii consoles breaking down due to overheating while in WiiConnect24 mode.

 CONCLUSION

What we are seeing with the Nintendo Wii is just the tip of the iceberg. While other systems are using colorful catch phrases, the Nintendo Wii is offering you a pure gaming experience. The Nintendo Wii is changing the experience of playing video games. Critics agree that the new Nintendo Wii is addictive, intuitive and fun.  We proudly speak from experience when we say the Nintendo Wii is incredibly fun to use.
